What Is Regenerative Agriculture?

At its core, the philosophy around regenerative agriculture is to improve the overall health of our soils by farming less intrusively and more in harmony with nature. Serving as a life giver, nutrient bank, and carbon absorber, soil health is critical to the strength and well-being of our earth as a whole. Operating in direct response to the circumstances of the land, ecology, and its needs, there are no strict guidelines or regulations in place around regenerative farming, but rather a set of guiding pillars.

Praise Be to the Honey Bee

For some, honey might just be the delicious bioproduct of the laborious honey bee's life. To others, it can serve as a biological map identifying the health and verdure of an entire ecosystem. Mother Tree: A Symbol of Our Heritage

Native to the Monti Sicani region of Sicily, the Biancolilla Centinara olive tree species was thought to be extinct until a team of researchers at the University of Palermo, including our Chief Scientist and Master Botanist, Dr. Pasquale "Mimmo" Marino, rediscovered it. Self-pollinating and quick to produce fruit, Mimmo recognized the importance of this varietal and carefully nurtured the species to once again thrive in the soils of its heritage.
