ASSISTANT WAREHOUSE MANAGER

The Assistant Warehouse Manager will join our team as an integral member of our warehouse department. Our products are made with great care, and we put great value into ensuring that the same care is implemented while in our custody. Serving as a crucial touchpoint of our high standards in customer service, our Assistant Warehouse Manager is expected to help maintain and implement our careful handling to ensure that our products arrive at their final destination in pristine condition. As the lead point of command under the Warehouse Manager, they should be ready to serve as a model for expectations, accountability, and the implementation of our company’s culture.  The Assistant Warehouse Manager will be able to open the warehouse and assist with normal daily operating and fulfillment procedures, even in the absence of the Warehouse Manager. They will maintain regular inventory practices and all training for new warehouse associates. They will be able to quote LTL freight orders, build pallets and handle freight pick-ups at our shipping location. They will be involved with communications between other departments of the company to ensure a smooth operation and fulfillment processes. They will also complete any necessary reporting and other off hand tasks requested by the Warehouse Manager.

Ideal Candidate (Responsibilities):

  • Assist in receiving inventory and keep track of current inventory levels.
  • Assist in managing employee tasks on the warehouse floor
  • Assist in daily operational duties
  • Quote LTL and Build Pallets for Freight Trucking
  • Works well as part of a team
  • Can work 40 hours a week Monday-Friday
  • Likes to work with their hands
  • Identify low stock, out of stock, or damaged items

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Passion for organic, artisan food, and sustainable agriculture.
