Roasted Garlic Focaccia Bread
The aroma of this easy, yeasty bread will transport you to the Italian countryside. A soft airy crumb studded with roasted garlic complements a crisp, olive oil laden crust creating a rich combination.
If possible, this panettone was perfection. I wish I could give it 100 stars. Delicious, light, airy, rich, decadent. One of my favorite holiday traditions.
Everyone in my family thought this was very good. I had been buying pannetone from a different brand; one often talked of as the best in Italy, and also costing almost double what this did. While those were very incredibly good, this one was equally good. No regrets here whatsoever for not spending $90+ on the "bigger" name. This was a very unique chocolate flavor profile, subtly enhanced by the wine and orange zest. But, if you're worried about the citrus ruining it for you, know that my mom is a dark chocolate fanatic who doesn't like any bit of citrus flavor in chocolate, and while she mentioned thinking that she detected something else in it, she still willingly ate it and enjoyed it each time. If you've ever had a Christmas cookie that someone put alcohol in, think that sort of flavor, but with that boozy bite toned way down. The chocolate used is exquisite though; perfectly milky and semi-sweet.
I've tried others that were just too sweet and not very good. This one was amazing! The experience of unwrapping it was part of the overall delight. Loved the flavor. I didn't realize I could use it to make French toast and possibly other yummy recipes. Mental note for next year...
Grazie mille, Staci! We are so pleased to hear you have enjoyed our Chocolate Panettone. You can find a recipe for our Panettone French Toast on our website blog by going to the top right search bar and searching for 'french toast' :).
First time trying a chocolate! Your flavors fantastic. Wish I could visit your bakery and just smell the magic! Thanks and Merry Christmas.
We wish you could visit too, Janis! Thank you for the kind words. There is nothing better than opening a package of our Panettone and getting a whiff of heavenly indulgence. Happiest of Holidays to you as well :).
Hands down, this is the best panettone ever--and I've tried many different brands of panettone (and pandoro) over the years. It's not your traditional panettone, but the combination of the chocolate and Malvasia wine make this the fluffiest, moistest, and fanciest panettone I've ever had. Delizioso! I also think this is Bona Furtuna's best panettone and wish they would make pandoro also. I highly recommend this panettone for the holidays.
Wow Shanie, we're so happy to hear you enjoyed the Chocolate Panettone! We weren't prepared for the response to the new variety- we sold out pretty quickly this year. Glad you got to try it!
