Bona Furtuna Ancient Grain Pasta celebrates the spirit of Italian land and tradition. Sicily’s rich climate presents ideal growing conditions for many crops, including 100% organic, non-GMO grain. Perciasacchi and Russello are sublime heirloom wheat grains that grow tall, develop strong elasticity and create an authentic al dente texture in each noodle. Using modern practices, grain is ground domestically, rinsed minimally and repeatedly milled. Next, our Italian artisan heirloom pasta is shaped in bronze dies, cut by hand, and placed on racks to air dry in the Mediterranean breeze.

No kidding, Bona Furtuna pasta has the best taste and texture. And it has less gluten naturally due to Italian wheat, so I can enjoy it comfortably. I am not celiac, just most other pasta affects me adversley. Buy the best pasta in many exciting shapes, and it cooks up perfectly.

It's actually not less gluten in our pasta that you're noticing (we're not really a low-gluten pasta), but having gluten from ancient grains that haven't changed in centuries. The gut recognizes and digests them much easier than conventional pastas that have been heavily modified. And most importantly, they taste a lot better too!
The pasta cooks up just like my favorite restaurant in Taormina, and the sauce brings the taste home.

Bona Furtuna pasta cooks up so delicious, has a great texture, and a great bite. I am not celiac, but pasta usually affects me adversely, and Bona Furtuna pasta does not, I believe because of the ancient grains. It is natural wheat, not modified like you get in the States. It is truly spectacular pasta from Italy
Hello Georgia. We've actually heard that a lot from our customers- the grains we make pasta with have been around for centuries unchanged and the body is able to digest them much easier than grains in the US (even organic varieties). Plus it tastes amazing too ;)
