Cultivated and crafted on La Furtuna Estate, our Biancolilla Centinara organic Italian extra virgin olive oil hosts medium fluidity with medium-green fruitiness and hints of wild herbs and dried flowers. Offering powerfully balanced bitterness and pungency, this single-origin olive oil shares the aroma of tomato, fresh grass, almond and artichoke and pairs well with fresh mozzarella, bistecca alla fiorentina, or a fresh peach salad.

Simple and pure, Bona Furtuna’s organic Original Passata sauce is made from raw ripe tomatoes. That’s it. Handpicked Corleonese heirloom tomatoes – a variety native to Sicily – are puréed and strained to produce a silky, sweet and earthy Italian passata. Freshly herbaceous in both flavor and aroma, our Sicilian Sea Salt with Organic Basil is a go-to finishing salt for lighter fare. About Società Bona Furtuna

What is Società Bona Furtuna?

It’s a monthly food subscription box featuring Bona Furtuna products. It's also an exclusive Bona Furtuna club membership that gets you early access to new items, harvests, and special discounts.

How does the subscription program work?

Once you sign up, you will receive a box of Bona Furtuna premium Italian fare (usually 4-7 items) every month and can cancel at any time. Each box also has recipes featuring some of the products included that month.

Do you ship the fresh items needed for the recipes?

We do not ship any of the fresh items, only the Bona Furtuna products and farm-exclusive items that each monthly recipe is centered around.

I don’t have a lot of time, how long do the recipes take?

All of our recipes are targeted to be ready in 30 minutes, but there is an occasional recipe that may take longer. Our priority is to have beautiful Sicilian recipes that are simply delicious.

Can I give a subscription to someone as a gift?

Do I have to get a box every month?

We offer our recurring subscription in three options: every month, every other month, and every three months (quarterly).

Gift Subscriptions

How do gift subscriptions work?

The gift recipient will receive a box of Bona Furtuna premium Sicilian fare (3-5 items) for 1, 3, or 6 months depending on which gift option you select. Each box will also have a recipe that uses all of the products included.

What if I want to continue my subscription after the gift period ends?

Order our Monthly Subscription after the gift subscription ends to continue to enjoy all of the Sicilian deliciousness and Bona Furtuna elite status you've grown accustomed to.

How do I order more than one subscription?

Our system currently only allows one shipping address per order.

If you have 2-3 subscriptions to order, it's easiest to checkout separately for each subscription.

If you have 4 or more subscriptions, send us an email with the following and we can create the orders for you and save you some time.

Billing & Shipping

I just joined Società, when will I receive my first box?

Orders placed on the 1st-15th of the month will ship out the next business day. Orders placed on the 16th-31st of the month will ship out on the 1st business day of the following month and should arrive within 3-7 days of shipping (Ex: an order placed on March 20th will ship on April 1st).

When will I be billed?

You are billed the day you place your first order, and then on the 1st of every month you receive an order.

Gift Subscriptions are billed all at once at the time of purchase.

Why doesn't my discount code work on Società Subscriptions?

Società Bona Furtuna Subscriptions are excluded from almost all discount code offers, unless noted otherwise. Our Subscriptions already offer products at a bundled discount and include free shipping.

How much is shipping?

Società Bona Furtuna subscription boxes all have free standard shipping within the continental US. Shipping to HI/AK/Territories is $19.95.

What countries do you ship to?

We are currently shipping our subscription box to the United States only.

Can I buy just one box?

Yes, check out our 1-Month Gift Subscription if you are interested in a single box for yourself or as a gift.

Can I skip a month?

Absolutely. Login to your account at least three days before the 1st of the month and you can select SKIP under the "Order Schedule" tab.

Don't have an account or don't want to create one? No problem. From the same Login page click on the link "Having issues managing your subscriptions?" and you can have a link sent to the email used to order the subscription.

When do boxes ship?

Boxes ship on the first business day of the month.

If it’s your first Società box, it will depend on when you ordered it. Orders placed on the 1st-15th of the month will ship within 24 hours (or the next business day) and your second box will be shipped on the 1st of the following month. Orders placed on the 16th-31st of the month will start on the 1st of the following month.

It’s the middle of the month and I just placed an order- do I have to wait until the first of the month?

Ingredients

Are your subscription sets vegan or vegetarian-friendly?

All of our products are vegan with the exception of our Honey. Some of the recipes for the subscription may call for meat or cheese, but these can easily be substituted for a meat or cheese alternative.

Do you offer gluten-free options?

We unfortunately do not have a gluten-free option currently. All of our products except our pasta are free of gluten. About 2/3 our monthly subscription sets will contain a box of pasta.

Are all of the products organic and non-GMO?

Yes, all of the Bona Furtuna products are certified organic and non-GMO with the exception of our 100% Pure Sicilian Sea Salt. Any farm-exclusive products included will also be organic and non-GMO, but they will not be certified as such.
