This Italian classic will entice all your senses. Briny clams cooked in fragrant garlic and white wine combine with lemony butter to coat every strand of pasta, making each bite pop with flavor. A true showstopper, serve this at your next dinner party for an easy, yet impressive dish.
A Twirl of Tradition
With a touch of sweetness, herbal hints, sun kissed grain, and accents of cinnamon, Bona Furtuna Spaghetti provides a great al dente texture and elastic structure. Representative to what humans have been eating for thousands of years and easy for digestion, feel the nutritional benefits of ancient grain pasta in every bite. Thick enough to brace a hearty meat sauce, yet thin enough to enjoy with a cream sauce, spaghetti’s multiplicity also invites a light olive oil and garlic dressing. Simplistic and savory, “Spaghetti e Aglio e Oglio” will ignite your senses with minimal preparation.
Ancient Grain Meets Modern Technology
Bona Furtuna Ancient Grain Pasta celebrates the spirit of Italian land and tradition. Sicily’s rich climate presents ideal growing conditions for many crops, including 100% organic, non-GMO grain. Tumminia, Perciasacchi and Russello are sublime heirloom wheat grains that grow tall, develop strong elasticity and create an authentic al dente texture in each noodle. Using modern practices, grain is ground domestically, rinsed minimally and repeatedly milled. Next, our Italian artisan heirloom pasta is shaped in bronze dies, cut by hand, and placed on racks to air dry in the Mediterranean breeze.
We have switched over all of our flour to heritage grains and had been searching for a pasta that fit the bill. This spaghetti is wonderful...cooks like “regular “ spaghetti but without that bloated full feeling that often comes with eating too much pasta.
Amy, we're so happy you found us! We hear this from a lot of customers, that the heirloom Italian grains used in our pastas don't give them the sensitivity issues that they have with American grain pastas. Doesn't hurt that our pastas taste really great too! Thank you so much for the feedback!
As a gluten intolerant person, I can eat heritage grains just fine. This pasta is the best I’ve ever tasted!
Grazie Robin! We've heard this from a lot of our customers: the standard pastas found in the U.S. have modified grains that those with gluten sensitivities can't stomach, but heirloom grains like those found in our Sicilian pasta are perfectly fine and easy to digest. Buon appetito!
Love Bona Furtuna’s spaghetti. Thought I was insane paying $8 for a one pound box but as soon as i tasted it I felt I was back in Sicily. It’s depth and chewiness instantly outmatches the costliest pasta products in US stores. Will definitely buy again. Served it with a mushroom, cream and miso sauce and my dinner guests are still raving about the meal three days later. Thank you, Bona Furtuna!
Grazie Michael! We really appreciate the feedback and our team in Sicily loves to hear this. But now, we're feeling hungry for some of that mushroom, cream, and miso sauce that you made which sounds so delicious!
Thanks Sue for the positive review!
