As the legend goes, Sicily’s prayers were answered when San Giuseppe, Sicily’s patron saint of artisans, ended a legendary drought in Medieval Sicily. To honor him, St. Joseph’s Day is celebrated every March 19th with a feast that includes Mafaldine di San Giuseppe. We’ve added a splash of extraordinary Fennel Pollen to this flavorful dish in recognition of the wild fennel that has been a staple for centuries for many Sicilians.

After receiving the February gift box, I made the roasted chicken recipe that came with the box. The sun-dried tomatoes, balsamic vinegar, sea salt with black truffle and the oregano flowers all contributed to making this dish very delicious!! My husband loved the flavors.
